Acoma Cultural Center

The new Cultural Center and Museum for the Pueblo of Acoma was completed in 2006 and incorporates three stories of archival preservation, museum, community gathering, and visitors facilities. The structural systems consist of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete, cast in place concrete frames, and conventional steel framing. This project was awarded “Best of 2006” recognition by McGraw-Hill Southwest Contractor Magazine.

Isleta HeadStart

New HeadStart facility for the Pueblo of Isleta. 25,000 square foot building with cantilevered bow string trusses and longspan steel decking at a construction budget of $3.75 Million. Construction completed 2003.
 

 

Navajo Preparatory School Athletic Center

The new Athletic Center for Navajo Preparatory School in Farmington, New Mexico, was constructed in 2006 and incorporates exposed long span steel hollow structural tube trusses and cantilevered eave systems.

 

 

NMSU Library

The Zuhl Library at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico was built in 1992 at a cost of $11 million. It houses the arts, humanities and sciences collections.

 

 

Rio Grande School 2005 AIA NM Citation Award

The Rio Grande School Media Center and Classroom is constructed of steel framing and long span acoustic steel roof deck. This contemporary structure, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was recognized by AIA New Mexico with the 2005 Citation Award. The Architect was Spears Architects.

 

 

Santa Maria De La Paz Saint Joseph Chapel 2004 AIA NM Merit Award

The Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community addition consists of a new Saint Joseph Chapel and community gathering building in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The new chapel is built as an addition to the main church building and in traditional architectural form. The chapel was recognized by AIA New Mexico with the 2004 Merit Award. The Architect was Jake Rodriguez, Architect.

 

Santo Nino Regional Catholic School

The Santo Nino Regional Catholic School was completed in 2006 and replaces two historic school facilities in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This 56,000 square foot campus is a state-of-the-art facility incorporating exposed concrete masonry walls, structural steel framed roofs, and a masonry and pre-engineered steel gymnasium. This project was awarded “Best of 2006” recognition by McGraw-Hill Southwest Contractor Magazine.

 

Trestle

This structure was featured on the cover of Engineering News-Record, September 29, 1977 and was the world’s largest wooden structure at the time.

 

 

 

West Creek Ranch Main Residence

This 11,000 square foot private residence in Gateway, Colorado employs extensive use of poured pumice-crete walls up to 3 feet in thickness.  Client:  Gateway Design and Development Co.

 

 

Custom Residence

This custom residence in Taos, New Mexico consists of adobe walls and a 52 foot diameter hemispherical dome constructed only of standard adobe bricks.
